Edwin Paul Yaskanich, 61, of died on Jan. 11, 2016 in Grahamsville, NY after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late John and Marilla Briggs Yaskanich and was born on June 14, 1954 in Liberty, NY.
Ed worked as a heath care aide at Swan Lake Adult Home in Swan Lake, NY and was a US Navy Veteran, having served his country from 1974 to 1978.
He is survived by his siblings, John Yaskanich of Liberty, Andrew Yaskanich of Grahamsville, NY and James Yaskanich of Liberty, NY, Ethel Powell of Madera, CA, Mary Yaskanich of Monticello, NY and Helen Bound and her husband Edward of Grahamsville, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Roy, William and Dwight.
Visiting hours are on Friday, January 15 from 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11 AM at Ramsay's Funeral Home. A Military Honors burial will follow the services at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Sunset Lake Rd. Liberty, NY.
