Gilbert W. Hendrickson, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY at the age of 78. Gilbert was born in Livingston Manor, NY on July 6, 1938 to the late Gilbert Hendrickson Sr. and Lillian Van Duzer Hendrickson. He was predeceased by his wife Delores Froelich Hendrickson in 2009.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family.
Survivors include his son, Fred Hendrickson of Sevierville, TN; three daughters, Lori Edwards and her companion George Cronk of Woodridge, NY, Doris Hendrickson of Liberty and Heidi Mayers and her husband Roger of Loch Sheldrake, NY; brother, Louis Hendrickson of Liberty; sister, Violet Akerley and her husband Bob of Grahamsville, NY; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Gilbert was predeceased by brothers, Ted and Robert Hendrickson and a grandson, Chad Edwards.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, NY.
