Anne M. Davis, a lifelong Sullivan County resident passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 10, 2017 at Catskill Regional Medical Center at the age of 82. She was born on May 7, 1935 to the late Charles McGuire and Mary McCormick McGuire.
Anne was retired from Sullivan County Community College where she was a security guard. She was a collector of Indian Memorabilia and had a great love for her grandchildren. She was also a pet lover, especially her dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Maynard Davis, at home; sons, Howard Gildersleeve and his wife Karen of Neversink, NY and Michael Gildersleeve and his wife Karen of Sidney, NY; daughters, Carol Houghtaling and her husband, James of Willowemoc, NY and Olga Avery of Neversink, NY; grandchildren, Carrie, Elton, Dominick, Michael, Jonathan, Charity, Christie, Brandon, Anne Marie and Jordan and great-grandchildren, Cortney, Cierra, Jayson and Justin.
She was predeceased by a son, Patrick Gildersleeve and sisters, Margaret Baker and Katherine Edwards.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, NY and interment of her cremains will be in Liberty Cemetery at a future date.
