Annie Edmonds, a longtime resident of Liberty, went to be with the Lord on Friday November 1, 2013. She was 98. She was the daughter of the late Parker and Florence Fields and was born on September 29, 1915 in Pineland, SC.

Sister Edmonds came to Christ at an early age and joined New Castle Baptist Church. Over the last fifty years, she has been a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Ferndale. NY. She and her brothers were some of the founders of Friendship Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving siblings, Parker Fields, Joe Fields, Dorothy Major, Janie Smith, MaeBell Cohen and Rev. Horace Fields.

She did not have any children, but had three adopted sons; Dwight Fields, Darrel Johnson and David Richard. She cherished and loved them dearly. She leaves to cherish her memory, James (Zelphia) Major and Wilson Smith who will continue as they were taught to lift the family's legacy up with love, support and being helpful. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and many, many friends.

Visitation will take place on Saturday November 9, 2013 from 11 AM to Noon at the Friendship Baptist Church in Ferndale, NY. Services will be at Noon with Rev. Harry Brown Jr. officiating.

Burial will be at New Castle Cemetery, Nixville, SC.

Memorial donations may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church, 11 Ferndale Rd. Ferndale, NY 12734.
