On Sunday, November 1, 2026, Barbara Morton passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Born in Livingston Manor on December 20, 1957, Barbara spent an adventurous childhood alongside her siblings "up on the hill" and her cousins "across the road." A longtime resident of Loch Sheldrake, she built a life centered around the people she loved most, always making sure to stay close to her daughters, Angel and Sarah.

Barbara especially came alive during the holidays. She never passed up a chance to dress up in the spirit of Halloween, and she delighted in showering her family with love, laughter, and gifts every Christmas. Known for a feisty streak that you never wanted to get on the wrong side of, her fierce personality was matched only by the boundless love she held for her grandchildren.

Barbara was predeceased by her beloved parents, Lafayette and Hilda Edwards, and her siblings Richard Edwards (Patricia), Jimmy Edwards (Sonia), and Sally Edwards.

She is survived by her siblings Beverly Edwards, Phillis Bury (Ronald), and Mary Edwards (Doug), along with many nieces and nephews.

Her life, laughter, and love will be carried on by her daughters, Angel Morton and Sarah Morton-Curry and her husband Jon; her son-in-law Jaryl Scott and her adored grandchildren: Jeremiah, Elijah, Braeden, Lilli, Amelia, Juliana, and Samuel.

The family will be hosting a gathering to celebrate the life and memories of Barbara on Saturday November 7 from 2pm-4pm. Please reach out to Sarah or Angel for more details.
