IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bessie Rose
Steele
April 20, 1995 – March 6, 2026
Bessie Rose Steele, age 30, passed away on March 6, 2026, at Garnet Health Medical Center.
She was born on April 20, 1995, in Harris, New York, the beloved daughter of Tiffany and Delzine Gilson.
Bessie was a proud and devoted mother to her three beautiful children, Brantley, Heaven, and Carson, who were the center of her world. She cherished every moment spent with them as a stay-at-home mom and always made sure they felt her love. Bessie also worked as a home health aide, where her caring nature and compassion for others shined through.
She loved music and spending time with her family and friends. Bessie had a vibrant personality-she was often described as loud, outgoing, fun to be around, and the life of the party. She was known for her sense of humor and, as her loved ones joked, her occasional hard-headedness.
Bessie enjoyed many hobbies and creative outlets. She loved drawing and often used her artwork as inspiration for her tattoos. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and doing diamond art. She also loved cooking and took pride in preparing meals for her family, especially her shepherd's pie, baked ziti, and most recently her favorite-Mississippi roast.
An animal lover at heart, Bessie adored animals, especially monkeys, and had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Maxi-Pad. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, and taking walks. Some of her favorite moments were watching her fiancé, Jeffrey, and her son Carson ride the ATV together. She also loved characters like Stitch and Betty Boop.
Bessie is survived by her loving children, Brantley, Heaven, and Carson; her fiancé, Jeffrey Rose; her parents, Tiffany and Delzine Gilson; her siblings, Delzine Gilson III, Anthony Gilson, and Jeffery Gilson and his wife Destiny; her nieces and nephews, Kayden Robinson and River Gilson; her grandmother, Barbara Williams; and her best friends, Melissa Lynch, Chadeisha Cleveland, and Alexandria Vaile, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
She was predeceased by her grandmother, Janet Davis, and her grandfathers, Leonard Steele and Victor Davis.
Service were handled privately at the convenience of the family.
