Bryan Robert “Spec” DeGraw, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away suddenly on March 28, 2025, at the age of 45. A resident of Pond Eddy, NY, Bryan was born on June 12, 1979, in Harris, NY, to Robert DeGraw and Linda Jaycox.
Bryan was a proud member of the Fallsburg High School Class of 1997. He dedicated time to serving his community as an active member of the Highland Lake Fire Department. Within the department he was a former Captain and First Lieutenant, as well as an active interior fire fighter, member of the Sullivan County dive team, and bail out instructor. Known for his quick wit and sharp sense of humor, Bryan had a remarkable ability to bring laughter to any room. He was passionate about traveling the world, creating lasting memories with his family, and was a fierce competitor during family game nights—often emerging victorious.
Bryan is survived by his loving wife, Kati, and their children, Rylan and Adelyn, as well as his daughter, Rebecca Mielnicki. He also leaves behind his mother, Linda DeGraw Jaycox, and her husband, Ed; his father, Bobby DeGraw, and his wife, Debbie; and his grandmother, Virginia DeGraw. Bryan will be deeply missed by his brothers, Aaron and Braiden DeGraw; nephew Kaiden; his aunts, Lisa Wilson (Llyle) and Judy Damis; his uncle, Ronnie DeGraw (Cora); as well as numerous cousins, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bryan was predeceased by his grandfather Leo DeGraw.
He is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Shannon DeGraw.

The family invites you to join them in honoring his life.
A visitation will be held at Colonial Memeorial Funeral Home in 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Firematic Service at 12:30 and a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
Burial will take place immediately afterward at the Hurleyville Cemetery.
