Weigand
d. Oct 7, 2026
Candy Weigand, 62, of Woodbourne, NY, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born on October 20, 1963, Candy was the beloved daughter of the late Paul and Beulah Kirtack. She was raised in the community she would continue to serve and love throughout her life.
Candy was fortunate to marry her high school sweetheart, Kevin Weigand, and together they shared 46 years of love, laughter, family, and countless cherished memories. Their enduring love was the foundation of the beautiful life they built together.
Family meant everything to Candy. She treasured being a mother and was incredibly proud of her children. Whether sharing everyday moments, celebrating holidays and milestones, or simply gathering together, time with her family was among her most treasured gifts. Above all, Candy was a devoted Mima who loved her grandchildren with all her heart. They were her greatest source of joy, and the memories they made together will remain in their hearts forever.
Candy dedicated 31 years of service to the Woodridge Postal Service. Through her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment, she touched the lives of countless people and made a lasting impact on the community she was proud to call home.
In her free time, Candy enjoyed trips to the casino, hosting family holidays, and, most of all, watching her grandchildren play in their games and activities. She found happiness in being surrounded by the people she loved and creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
Candy was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Beulah Kirtack; her brother, Robert Kirtack; her nephew, John Michael Williams; and Arthur and Elizabeth Weigand.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Kevin Weigand; her daughter, Shannon Parlapiano; her son, Shane Weigand and his wife, Mary; her granddaughter, Evelyn Weigand; her grandsons, Jacob and Alex Parlapiano and their father, Michael Parlapiano, and her brothers, Paul Kirtack and his wife, Franci, and Michael Kirtack and his wife, Wendy; her sister-in-law, Irene Kirtack; her brother and sister-in-law, John and Laura Weigand; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Weigand and Joyce Borko and her husband, Lewis; and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends, including Lisa and Francois Beaupre and their children, Eva and Justin; Marcy Kirtack; Stacy and Brendan Bonner and their children, Nikolas and Emily; David Kirtack; Ryan Kirtack; Kelly Kirtack; William and Amanda Kirtack and their children, Belle and Oliver; Terilyn; Lisa; Kyla; Leah; Harlen; Jared; Tonya Ramos; Amy Whidbee and her husband, Anthony; Ari Borko; and Noah Borko.
