Carol H. Dauch, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away on Wednesday May 7, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was 77. The daughter of Howard and Elsie Hector, she was born on December 23, 1936 in Monticello, NY.
Carol was an insurance broker for many years at the Jerry Abramson and Mike Preis Agencies. She volunteered for the Bethel Ambulance Corp and she was treasurer for the Bethel Fire District in her younger years. Carol was a fighter as her body just gave up due to debilitating conditions. Carol was the most loving mother on earth and she never spoke ill about anyone.
She leaves behind a son, Randolph Dauch and daughter-in-law, Rhandye and several nieces and nephews - one in particular that she adored - Bonnie Hector Lagoda and her husband Barry- and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles "Toots" Dauch and her brother, John "Jerry" Hector.
Carol will be deeply missed. May she finally rest in peace.
Graveside services will held on Saturday May 10, 2014 at Evergreen Cemetery, Route 17B, Bethel, NY at 2:30 PM. Ginny Bossley will officiate.
