Catherine A. Earing, age 67, of Woodbourne, NY, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 21, 2020.
Catherine was born in Queens, NY on August 5, 1952 to the late Robert Penderthy and Grace Schaefer Penderthy.
Catherine is survived by her husband of 25 years, Richard Earing; her son James Earing and his wife Theresa of St. James, Long Island; her cousins, Irene Pollacek and Eric Peterson of Florida; and extended family and friends.
Catherine is retired from Helmsley Spear, where she worked as senior cashier in the observatory at the Empire State Building. For the past eleven years, she was employed as a driver for the Rolling V. Bus Corporation. Catherine had many hobbies and interests; she especially enjoyed caring for her animals and cooking.
Visitation will be held at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY on Monday, February 25, 2020 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 at 12 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Woodbourne Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Catherine’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
