Charles S. Rose, Sr.

Charles S. “Butch” Rose Sr. of Ellenville passed away on June 19, 2024. He was 77.

He was the son of the late James Rose and Dorothy Van Dermark, born on November 30, 1946, in Ellenville.

Charles was a jack of all trades he was an avid hunter and fisherman but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his siblings James Rose, Carolyn Wells, Eunice Brown, Donald Rose, and John Rose.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Marie Rose; his sister Loretta (Donald) Chase; his faithful and loving companion Sissy; his children Patrick (Amy) Towne, Gina (Vinny) Towne, Charles (Annette) Rose, Jr. ,Bonnie (Bob) Rose, Daisy Rose and Daniel (Danielle) Rose; his grandchildren Richard (Mary) Smith, Bradley Smith, Samuel (Jill) Call, Ashley (James) Czerkas, Corey Silveira, Maranda Butler, Alden Rose, Daniel Rose, Jr., Nevaeh Rose, Noah, Tamar, Jonah, Adam, Isaiah, Esther, Nathan and Johnathan Towne; great-grandchildren Alyssia, Xaiver-Charles and Paiton Czerkas, Brianna, Chloe and Vincent -Charles Smith, Devin and Hunter Smith, Cairo Silveira, Olivia and Emily Call, Markael Harrington, Daniel “DJ” Rose, III; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 28th from 3:00-6:00pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A reception to celebrate Charles’ life will be held immediately after, an announcement will be made at the funeral home for details.
