Christine Rubio, a lifelong resident of Liberty, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Catskill Regional Center in Harris, NY. She was 51. The daughter of the late Rocky and Kathleen McLaughlin Toscano, she was born on April 22, 1962 in New York City.

Christine was a member of St. Peter's Church in Liberty. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and a friend to many.

Survivors include her husband, Maxamiliano Rubio at home; sons, Christopher Rubio of New York, Max Rubio/Bloss of Florida, Anthony Rubio, Jessie Rubio and Michael Rubio, all of Orange County; daughters, Sarah Rodriguez and her fiancé Avery Aubain of Liberty and Isabella Rubio of Orange County; brothers, Frank Toscano of Narrowsburg, Dennis Toscano of Liberty, Rocky Toscano of Neversink and Robert Toscano of Liberty; sisters, Rose Toscano and Patricia McLaughlin, both of Liberty, Jean Toscano of Charlotte, NC, Regina Marvel of Naples, FL, Jolene Toscano of NYC and Rhonda Ottino of Neversink and two grandchildren, Selena and Alex.

Friends may call on Wednesday, February 12 from 5 - 8 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty. Her funeral mass will take place on Thursday, February 13 at 1:00 PM at St. Peter's Church, Liberty, NY.
