Cristina Robles Peña, 70, of Monticello, passed away on October 3, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. She was the daughter of the late Teofilo Robles and Maria Peña and was born on March 11, 1947 in Juncos, Puerto Rico.
Cristina had several jobs in her lifetime both here and in Puerto Rico. Locally, she had worked as a chambermaid for the Concord Hotel in Kiamesha Lake, NY. Cristina was a devoted member of Iglesia de Dios of Monticello and she attended Sullivan County Adult Day Care in Harris, NY.
Survivors include her sons, Jose Melendez of Monticello, NY and Rafael Melendez and his wife Dalia of Colorado Springs, Co; siblings, Luis Peña, Rosa Peña, Luis A Rodriguez Peña and Petra Peña; grandchildren, Jalissa Cristina Melendez, Selena Melendez, Jose Melendez Jr., Angel Rico Melendez, Gabrielle Melendez, Alexia Cherise Sanchez and Abigail Velez. She was predeceased by her parents; son, Edward Velez Robles and siblings, Maria Robles, Nicholas Robles, Jesús Robles and Teofilo Robles Jr.
Visiting hours are on Monday October 9, 2017 from 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 55 St. John St. Monticello, NY. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 8 PM with Pastor Luis Boria officiating. Burial will take place on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at 11 AM at Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd. Liberty, NY.
