Dane Ace Simpson

Dane Ace Simpson, of Livingston Manor, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. He was 64.
He was the son of the late Robert S. and Evelyn A. (Sprague) Simpson, born on March 14, 1960 in Liberty, NY.
Dane worked as the head of maintenance for Center for Discovery. Dane proudly served his community as an active member of the Livingston Manor Fire Department. He served as Captain for Manor Hose, Captain of Fire Police, he was a Past Commissioner, and a past member of the Sullivan County Volunteer Fire Fighters Association, he was also an active member of the Hudson Valley Fireman’s Association and Order of Red Vests. Dane enjoyed spending time outside, especially snow-mobiling. He was a NASCAR and automotive enthusiast who loved to listen to country music and who also enjoyed working with his hands, woodworking. He was a loving brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his siblings Darlene Smith of Livingston Manor and Cheryl Wilbur and her husband Robert, of White Sulphur Springs; niece and nephews Barbara Smith, Robert Wilbur, Jr, and James Wilbur; great nieces and nephew, Kateri, Olivia, Ellie and Zachary; as well as many cousins. He is predeceased by his wife Judy Simpson; parents Robert and Evelyn Simpson; sister Beverly Porter; and niece Roberta Wilbur.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758. A firematic service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30am. Lay speaker James Buck will officiate. Burial to follow at Cooks Falls Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
