In Loving Memory of Daniel Franklin Goergen July 10, 1964 - June 27, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Franklin Goergen, who departed peacefully on June 27, 2026, at the age of 61.

Daniel was born in Washington, D.C., to his late father, John Walter Goergen, and his mother, Nancy Alice Helsel.

Daniel, affectionately known as Danny, was a cherished man whose life touched countless people. His kind smile, love of music, passion for playing instruments, and the joy he found in simply spending time with others brought happiness to everyone around him. He left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Danny will be lovingly remembered by his friends, his guardianship family, his fellow residents and program participants, and the dedicated staff at The Arc Greater Hudson Valley, whose lives were enriched by his friendship and warm spirit.

Family and friends are invited to Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY for visitation on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 10-11:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
