Daniel Eric Robinson was born on November 19, 1964. Wonderful, kind, and beloved by all who knew him, Dan grew up in Livingston Manor, New York. From a young age, he found joy in working with and riding horses, developing a lifelong passion that led him to become an award-winning horseman who excelled in all aspects of horsemanship.

In 1985, Dan moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he quickly became known as "Dan-Dan the Hairdo Man." Over the course of his 40-year career as a talented hairstylist, he worked at several local salons, including HHits, She & He, Aurora, and Salon Salon. His creativity, warmth, and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on both clients and colleagues.

Dan is survived by his loving life partner, Rob Hooks; his stepmother, Claudette Robinson; his sister, Diane Love; his stepsisters, Karen Hutchinson and Vikki Van Vliet, his favorite cat, Mr. Whiskers; and countless dear friends whose lives he touched.

Dan is predeceased by his mother, Joanie Robinson, his father, Robert Robinson, and his brother Bobby Robinson.

Interment will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Lew Beach Cemetery at 12:00 Noon.
