Diane Marie Pettis passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Garnet Health Medical Center. She was 58.

She was born on October 29, 1967, to the late Herman and Martha Pettis in Liberty, NY.

Diane was a sassy, confident woman who loved everyone. Diane had a contagious laugh and when you entered and she said, "I love you," she truly felt that way about you. She was very confident in her decisions and was very protective of her friends and family housemates.

Diane leaves to cherish her memories, her chosen family, Ann, Kathy, Tabitha, Paula, Sabine, Pam, Sherri, Jocelyn, Jane, Kim, Lynn, Pauline, Mone, Krystal and Maxine. Her Sisters and Brothers by choice Philip, Linda, Marlene, Lori, Bernadette, and her special friend Gary, her new friends, Eddie, Patti, Roberta, Linda, Christine, Candice, Dante, Monique, Verna, Gina and Zech.

Diane was predeceased by her parents and brother by choice Michael. Diane will be missed and thought of every day.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 10-11:00am. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00am with Pastor Seth Switzer officiating.
