Edward "Eddie" Ciezkowski, 84, of Swan Lake, NY, passed away on Tuesday September 10, 2013 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY.

He was born on February 8, 1929 in East Meadow, NY and was the son of the late Gabryel and Nellie Ciezkowski, immigrants from Poland.

Eddie was a Corporal in the Army Air Force from 1947 to 1949, serving in communications interception and was stationed in Hawaii. He was a heavy equipment operator on Long Island but moved to Swan Lake, an area he loved and where he spent much of his youth. He worked for many years for the Town of Bethel. His knowledge and love of nature was passed on to his extended family. He was grateful to the Swan Lake Adult Home for the care he received.

Eddie never married and was predeceased by his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his extended family, including his nieces, Deborah Lamorder and Carole Mills of Clearwater, FL and Ann Ciezkowski of Wantagh, NY and his nephews, Joe Ciezkowski of Roanoke, VA and Phillip Ardito of New York.

Visiting hours are on Friday Sept. 13 from Noon to 2 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 Rt 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow the services at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty, NY.
