View Tribute Book Erek Tyler Cruz, of Woodridge, passed away suddenly on September 13, 2022.  He was 29.Erek was born in Harris Hospital on September 16, 1992 to Miguel A. Cruz and Ellen L. Hannold. He was a Fallsburg Central High School graduate and earned his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice at SUNY Sullivan. He is survived by his fiancé Jennifer Aguilar, his brothers Joseph Crespo, Matthew Cruz, Dominic Cruz and Alex Jefferson. Also, he is survived by his grandfathers, Roger Hannold and Modesto Cruz whom he was close to and raised by. Erek cared for those whom he loved. If anyone was sad or upset he would make sure to cheer them up. He wanted the well being for everyone. He enjoyed spending time with everyone and constantly wanting to be surrounded by his family and friends. Erek loved seeing everyone together  enjoying themselves. Wherever he went, whoever he met, he shined and was instantly liked. He was loved by his family and friends. He will forever be loved and missed deeply.visitation will take place on Monday, September 19, from 1-3 pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, Woodbourne. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm, followed by interment at Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY.
