Evelyn Janet Stolz, 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Bert A. and Violet Banks Lockwood and was born on March 12, 1929 in Walden, NY.
Evelyn leaves behind her large family to mourn her loss; four sons, Joseph Haas (Edith) of Montgomery, NY, William Haas (Judy) of Madison, TN, Paul Haas of Walker Valley, NY, and James Haas of Pine Bush, NY; four daughters, LouAnn Ellis (Dale) of Jeffersonville, NY, Rosemary Cox (Paul) of Livingston Manor, NY, Tina Rall (Robert) of East Meredith, NY and Nancy Haas of Walker Valley, NY; brothers, Victor Lockwood of Walker Valley, NY and Abe Lockwood of Louisiana; sisters, Ruth Lockwood of Walker Valley, NY and Florence Brown of Lawrence, NY; fifteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Francis Haas and Paul Stolz; brothers, William, John, Gene, Allen and Arthur Lockwood; sisters, Mary Lou, Hazel and Harriet and a grandson, Patrick Ordway.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at which time her cremains will be laid to rest with her parents in New Prospect Cemetery in Pine Bush, NY.
