Frank Daniel Cruz Jr. of Livingston Manor, NY passed away unexpectedly at his parents home on Friday, February 27th, 2015. He was 36 years old.
Frankie is the son of Frank Cruz Sr. and Norma K. Davis-Cruz. He was born on April 29th, 1978 in Harris, NY.
Frankie graduated from Livingston Manor Central School and was part of the Class of 1996. Frankie studied at Sullivan County Community college where he received an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Science. He continued his studies at Oneonta State University where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and was on the Dean's list.
Frankie worked at the Department of Social Services as a Social Worker for several years. At the time of his death Frankie was employed at the Woodbourne Correctional Facility as a Correctional Officer. He worked there for seven years.
Frankie is a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Frankie loved to hunt, fish, ice-fish, and watch and play sports. Frankie was a talented musician who perfected three instruments in high school. Frankie was an artist who loved to draw and paint with his niece and nephew. Frankie loved his family and friends and was loved deeply. He will be eternally missed.
Frankie is survived by his loving parents, Frank and Norma Cruz; one sister, Katie-Anne Cruz-Heusel and her husband, William; one brother, Michael David; one niece, Fiona Kate; one nephew, Anthony Michael; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3rd at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St., Livingston Manor, NY 12758. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4th at the funeral home.
