Frederick Stich, born on November 1, 1942, passed away on December 17, 2025. Frederick lived a life defined by strong passions, daily routines that brought him comfort and pride, and meaningful relationships with those who knew and cared for him. He will be remembered for his unique spirit, warm presence, and the joy he brought to those who knew him.
Frederick found great happiness in the things he loved most. Trains were a lifelong fascination-he enjoyed watching them, talking about them, and finding joy in their movement and structure. He was also a devoted New York Yankees fan, following his team with enthusiasm and pride. He was especially known for his signature style-often dressed as his beloved "infamous cop," wearing his badges proudly every day. This was more than an outfit; it was a reflection of his personality, pride, and sense of identity.
Frederick was a familiar and cherished presence to those around him. He is lovingly survived by his beloved sister, Beverly Hedayatzahed, whose love and support were constant throughout his life. He is also deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and the many staff and individuals at ADAPT of the Hudson Valley, where Frederick was known, respected, and cared for. His routines, conversations, and presence became an important part of the community and his absence will be felt deeply.
Those who knew Frederick will remember his dedication to the things that mattered most to him, his consistency, and the pride he took in being exactly who he was. He leaves behind many memories that will continue to bring comfort and smiles to those who had the privilege of knowing him.
May Frederick rest in peace, forever remembered for his passions, his individuality, and the love he shared.
