Obituary of Gary Wood Gary Wood of Oliver Springs, TN, formerly of Liberty, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 surrounded by his loving family after his battle with Alzheimer's. He was 82.He was the son of the late Lyman Venn Wood and Kathryn Rhorback, born on February 1, 1936 in Liberty, NY.Gary was the owner and operator of Woods Automotive Service for many years with his brother Lyman. He was an active member of his community; he was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Exalted Ruler of B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1545 and J.C. Young Hose Company. He was a dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend to all that knew and loved him.He is survived by his wife, Marion Wood; his daughters, Roxann Wood, Bonnie Nelson and her husband, Michael; his brothers, Thomas Wood and his wife, Peggy, and Lyman Wood Jr., and a host of friends.Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10 at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 South Main St., Liberty, NY 12754. There will be an Elks Service at 7pm, Wednesday evening followed by a Firematic service at the funeral home. There will be a funeral service with Rev. Johanna Andritz officiating at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 11 at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's name can be made to J.C.
