Geraldine Bowers passed away on May 15, 2026 at the age of 79, leaving behind a lifetime of memories shared with family and friends. Born on September 5, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Barkley and Myrtle Lawrence.

Geraldine had a wonderful spirit and found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed knitting, treasured her trips to Colorado, and especially the adventures she shared with her late husband, James "Jim" Bowers, attending airplane events together. Her warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 57 years, James "Jim" Bowers; and her brothers, Harry and Richard Barkley.

Geraldine is lovingly remembered by her sons, Todd Bowers, and Jason Bowers, and his wife Stephanie; her grandchildren, Dillon and TJ Bowers; her brother, Thomas Barkley Jr.; her sister, Marlene Poley; her sisters-in-law Roseanne Knox, Marylou Mears, Doris Bowers, and Nancy Barkley; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788.
