Glenn C. Ramirez, a lifelong Liberty resident, passed away after a long illness on Friday April 4, 2014 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. He was 48 years of age. He was the son of Henry J. and Irene M. LaMoya Ramirez and was born on August 29, 1965 in New York City.
Glenn was a member of Vine Branch Church in Liberty, the Liberty Elks Lodge # 1545 and was a Troop Lleader for Boy Scout Troop # 95, Liberty, NY. He was very active in Liberty Little League, having been both a Board Member and Coach. He also volunteered for the Liberty AYSO Soccer League.
He is survived by his parents, Henry J and Irene M. Ramirez of Lehigh Acres, FL and Parksville, NY; his wife, Barbara-Jean Ramirez at home; son, Christopher P. Ramirez at home; daughters, Jessica Ramirez of New York City and Elaina-Louise-Ramirez at home; brothers, Adam Ramirez and wife Hallie of Liberty and Eric H. Ramirez of Lehigh Acres, FL; a sister, Dona Rupp and husband Skylar of Boca Raton, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are on Tuesday, April 8 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday April 9 at 11 AM at the Vine Branch Church, Route 52, Liberty, NY with Rev. Glenn Davis officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in the Veterans Section, Liberty, NY.
Memorial donations in Glenn's name may be made to the Relay For Life-Bands Hope Team, 64 Yaun Ave. Liberty, NY 12754.
