Gordon Procter Frost, Jr., age 83, of New Johnsonville, TN passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, surrounded by family.

Gordon was born on February 9, 1942, in Teaneck, NJ. The son of Gordon Procter Frost, Sr. and Beulah Grace (Grau) Frost.

Gordon graduated in 1961 from Pine Bush High School in NY. In 1962, he joined the United States Air Force and proudly served as a Weapons Specialist during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1966.

Gordon was well known for his passion for service. He dedicated 60+ years to serving his community as a Volunteer Firefighter. He has held several positions over the years, in addition to being a Firefighter, he served as Commissioner, President and Chief two times with the Grahamsville Fire Department. At the time of his death, he still held Honorary Active member status with Pioneer Engine Company in Ellenville, NY, Active Life Member of the Grahamsville Fire Department and was a member of both the Past Presidents Sullivan County Volunteer Firefighters and Chiefs Associations. He was also a member of the Fire Association of the State of New York.

Gordon was also very proud to be a NYS Fire Safety Instructor from 1985-1997. He taught and trained many firefighters across the state of NY.

He took pleasure in marching in and judging parades, but most of all, the brotherhood he shared with his fellow firefighters.

Gordon began his career in the Heating Oil industry in 1967 driving an oil truck and eventually was trained in servicing oil burners; retiring in 2007 from Agway in Liberty, NY.

At the time of his death, he was married to Linda Lorraine (Seeley) Frost on May 7, 2005, in Grahamsville, NY. He moved with Linda to Tennessee in 2007 and worked as a Security Officer at Dupont for several years.
Gordon and Linda belong to the Waverly United Methodist Church.

Gordon loved NASCAR, football and spending time with family. He held his relationships close to his heart and his family and friends were of the utmost importance to him.

He was one-of-a-kind. Gordon, will be remembered for his remarkable spirit, the warmth he exuded, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy of service, kindness, joy, and family devotion will undoubtedly continue to resonate in the lives of all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Linda Lorraine (Seeley) Frost of New Johnsonville, TN, his sons James Frost and Gregory Frost (Sara), his daughter Paula (Conklin) Lalor (Michael), his grandchildren Katelyn Frost, Elizabeth Frost, Caroline Frost and Nelson Frost, and his brother Charles Frost of Pine Bush, NY. He was blessed with many bonus family members including; son David Hook, daughter, Pamela (Hook), Yoli (Frank) and Tricia Decker, grandchildren; Jessica Brown (Jason), Chase Hook, Cody Hook, Carson Hook, Ariella Barkley (Thomas), Miranda Hamlin (Scott), Karisa Yoli, Tristian Martin, Richie Klein (Heather), Sarah Klein (Imari) and Jacob Klein, his great grandchildren - Cole Brown, Brayden Barkley, Clarissa Martin, Thea Klein and Ella Klein. He also has a beloved extensive extended family of nieces, nephews and their children.

He was predeceased by his son John “Jack” Frost, his sister Elizabeth Ann (Frost) Lutz and her husband William, his sister-in-law Carol Frost, bonus son Robert Hook.

A Firematic and Memorial Service will be held on August 2, 2025, at the Grahamsville Fire Department. Visitation will begin at 11am and the funeral service at 12pm. Followed by a procession to the VA Cemetery in Liberty, NY for a Military Service and internment.
