Grant Pentacost Wehrfritz, born December 16, 1949, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016. He was 66.
Grant was the son of Verner and Henry Wehrfritz. He was born in Livingston, NJ and then moved to Livingston Manor, NY to work for his father-in-law, Arthur Rees, who operated the Livingston Manor Airport and Jeep dealership. He loved to cut his lawn and take care of his property. He worked as a teacher in Livingston Manor for 36 years, he went from Elementary to shop class.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dolores; daughter, Darthy Kumper and her husband, Jeffery; two grandchildren: Nevin and Nate Kumper; his beloved brother, Henry Wehrfritz and his wife, Maureen; and his nieces: Tracy Santilli and Kelly Wehrfritz.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Grant’s name to Livingston Manor Ambulance Corps, the Livingston Manor Library or the Livingston Manor Fire Dept.
Grant liked things simple. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23rd at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758.
