Obituary

Harry E. Hinkley, 66, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Residence with his daughter by his side. He was born on December 25, 1959, in Liberty, New York, and was the son of the late Harry E. Hinkley and Arlene E. Smith.

Harry spent much of his life in Swan Lake, where he also grew up in his childhood home. Over the years, he worked at the Stephenville Hotel in Swan Lake, along with several other places, and was known as a dependable and hardworking man.

Above all else, Harry was deeply devoted to his family. He was kind, honest, and selfless-always thinking of others and putting their needs before his own. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart; when they were little and couldn't quite say "Grandpa," they lovingly called him "Paca," a name that stayed with him and became a cherished family nickname. In his free time, Harry found joy tending to his garden, especially his rose bushes, which he cared for with great pride. He also enjoyed relaxing at home watching television, with Tracker and Fire Country among his recent favorite shows. Harry was a fan of both Marvel and DC movies and loved getting lost in their stories.

Harry is survived by his three children, Harold Banks, Brandon Hinkley, and Heather Hinkley; his seven grandchildren, Maria, Brandon, Jacob, Carl, and Ava Hinkley, Travis Burk, and Jackson Whitted; and his great-granddaughter, Arella Gibson. He is also survived by his two sisters, Gaylean Milsaps and Robin Green.

He was predeceased by his sister, Donna Packard, and his son, Jacob Hinkley.

Harry will be remembered for his gentle heart, quiet strength, and the deep love he had for his family and home. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Services were handled privately at the convenience of the family, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
