With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Heather Avery, age 46.

She was the daughter of Edward Avery and the late Donna M. Yerkes Avery, born on July 15, 1979 in Portsmouth, NH.

A cherished daughter, sister, mother, aunt, niece, and cousin, Heather was a lifelong resident of Ulster and Sullivan counties.

Heather leaves behind her father Edward, sister Starr, daughters Kyleigh and Victoria, nieces and nephew Marisa, Justin, Abigale, and Emma, as well as multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 10:00am-12:00pm. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
