Helen Rhodes, of Cochecton, NY passed away on June 5, 2024 at Wayne Memorial. She was 93.
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Stella Wolk, born on March 29, 1931 in Scranton, PA.
Helen and her husband Harold owned a garage in Baryville, NY in 1964, then went on to own the garage and diner in Eldred, NY from 1972 until 1977. Helen volunteered as a grandma at Endicott Binghamton Elementary School, reading to the kids and making them slippers for Christmas. She enjoyed knitting, reading, puzzles and movies.
She is survived by her children Theresa Rogers (George) of Balston Spa, NY, Candy James of Binghamton, NY, Harold Rhodes III (Nancy) of Cochecton, NY, Michael Rhodes (Kay T) of Oklahoma; as well as ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Henry and Stella Wolk, husband Harold Rhodes; brother Donald Wolk; and son-in-law Neil James.
The family would like to thank Bethany Village in Pennsylvania for taking good care of Helen.
Helen will be laid to rest alongside her husband in All Souls Cemetery, Long Beach, California.
