Jason Harry Goldstein

August 16, 2001 — March 6, 2025

Jason H. Goldstein of Woodbourne, NY passed away on Thursday, March 6th. He was the son of David and Lynn Goldstein, and brother to Sam Goldstein, Jason, born in Harris, NY on August 16, 2001.

Jason was a 2019 graduate of Tri-Valley Central School, then graduated from SUNY Morrisville with a degree in Woodworking. From his earliest years, Jason was happiest when he was creating. As a child, any medium would do from unique hairdos, seashell creations and lego freestyle to scrap from his father’s construction business which came in handy when designing your own zipline! As a teenager, he started his own woodworking business called Gold’s Woodworking and traveled to many craft shows to sell his custom cutting boards, pens, and tables. His favorite moments were working with his dad in his construction business. In the kitchen, Jason stood side by side with his mom cooking steak, making tacos, and creating venison dishes. His favorite takeout order – General Tso’s Chicken.
Jason put his own spin on sports and nature as well. Jason loved to downhill ski with the family and often sought out the biggest jumps he could find and the less traveled or unbroken trails. He would turn a simple golf outing into a wildlife excursion with no reported score!

He will be remembered for his helpful heart, his wry, clever wit and his infectious laugh that was followed by a gleam in his eye.

Survivors include his loving mom and dad, Lynn & David, his brother, Sam, his Nana & Pop (Susan & Gil Welch), Auntie Beth (Welch), Aunt Joanne & Uncle Gene Rose, and his great-Aunt Sadie, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Martin and Shirley Goldstein and his Uncle Alan Goldstein.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home in Woodbourne from 11:00-12:30 with a service to follow at the funeral home with Father Bader.
