Jeanne M. DePuy, of Woodbourne, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at home. She was 79.
She was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Wagner) Dill, born on May 12, 1945 in Liberty, NY.
Jeanne worked in the Personnel Department for Sullivan County until her retirement. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Woodbourne and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Woodbourne Fire Department. She was a phenomenal baker, especially her sheet cakes, which everyone wanted for their birthday. She truly loved her family, in particular her grandchildren, whom she helped raise. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her, she will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Douglas “Doug” DePuy; children Scott DePuy his wife Lisa and Tamara “Tammy” DePuy; grandchildren Samantha Shaddock and Alex DePuy; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her siblings Marilynn Chan and William “Billy” Dill.
In lieu of flowers donations in Jeanne’s name can be made to Woodbourne Fire Department, P.O. Box 45, Woodbourne, NY 12788 or to National Breast Cancer Foundation PO Box 676910 Dallas, TX 75267-6910.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A firematic service will be held on Wednesday at 7pm at the funeral home. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, June 13th at Immaculate Conception Church, 6317 State Route 42, Woodbourne, NY 12788. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Parsonage Rd., Woodbourne, NY 12788.
