John Popet Jr, 51, of Wawarsing passed away on April 12, 2015. He will be dearly missed. John was born on April 9, 1964 to John and Mary Popet in Rockland County.
John was an avid outdoorsman from hunting and fishing to making a career out of what he loved as an independent logger. He leaves behind his mother, Mary Ann Gannon Popet; Two brothers Joseph and Danny Popet; Six sisters Margaret Bailey, Veronica Gannon, Mary Ann McIntosh, Dorothy Rose, Patricia Popet and Loretta Crowley; Nine nieces and nephews; and several great nieces, great nephews, aunts and uncles. John is predeceased by his father, John Popet Sr.
A funeral service and visitation will be held in John's honor on Tuesday, April 14, from 4 to 8 PM at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne NY 12788.
