Jordon "Bear" Thomas, a longtime Sullivan County resident and a Greens Keeper at Lochmor Golf Course, passed away on Monday September 23, 2013 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. He was 57. He was the son of James Whitehead and Mary Thomas and was born on September 22, 1956 in Eutaw, AL.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mattie Thomas of Eutaw, AL; his mother, Mary Thomas of Tuscaloosa, AL; his wife Donna Bowers Thomas at home; sons, Tyrone Davis of Eutaw, AL and Jordon D. Thomas and fiance Lisa Wilson of Liberty; daughters, Carolyn Davis of Eutaw, AL, Danielle Lewis and husband Kevin Walden of Liberty, Jonnelle Bowers and finance Felix Rodriguez of Liberty and Michelle Thomas and fiance Victor Kimmons of Liberty; brothers, Clifford Rogers and wife Erica of Michigan and Albert and wife Mattie of Texas; sister, Jeanette Mobley of Eutaw, AL; 10 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Sara Ann Rogers.
Visiting hours will be on Saturday Sept. 28, 2013 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1 PM with Rev. Ann Green officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty, Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd. Liberty.
