Joseph Melko, of New Paltz, died February 3, 2022 at home. He was 89.
He was the son of the late Mikal Melko and Maria Cizmarik, born on April 4, 1932 in Slovakia.
Joseph leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Martha; son Michael Melko; grandchildren Michael Melko, Melissa Melko, Monica Linnemeyer and Maria Nappi. He joins in Heaven his daughter Evelyn Linnemeyer and sister Poulina.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 4pm on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 7th at 11:00am at St. Mary's and St. Andrew's Church, 137 S. Main Street, Ellenville, NY 12428. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville, NY.
