Kathleen A. Smith (Kay) passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, in Greeley, Colorado, at the age of 89.

Born on May 27, 1937, in Middletown, New York, Kay was the beloved daughter of the late William F. Conklin and Ida B. Simons. Kay spent her early years in New York before embarking on a new chapter of her life in 1984, when she moved west to Milpitas, California where she built a fulfilling life and career. She worked for many years in sales, where she was known for her friendly personality, strong work ethic, and dedication. She relocated to Colorado in 2018 with her beloved daughter JoAnne Masi Becker and loving Son in law Dale Becker where she lived her remaining years. Kay enjoyed arts and crafts with her friends and loved baking cookies at Christmas which she loved to share with so many people. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and some of her greatest memories where those spent with them at Disneyland.

Kay is survived by her loving children, JoAnne Masi Becker and her husband Dale, Bonnie Smith Farias, Richard G Masi and his wife Pat, Kathleen Masi-Lanier, her Sister in law Dottie Conklin, and close family friend Dawn Weed and as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Kay was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert W. Smith, Sr., her beloved son William F. Masi, her brother Richard G Conklin Sr., her Sister Barbara Conklin, her son-in law Al Farias and her son in law Tony Teskera.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, New York 12788. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, New York, Sharron Brannon will officiate
