Kathryn Willets of Livingston Manor passed away on Sunday April 10, 2016 in the comfort of her home with her husband by her side. She was 83.

Kathryn was born on March 18, 1933 in Peggs, Oklahoma to the late Noah and Ruth Hill.

She grew up on a farm with her nine brothers and sisters before migrating to Denver Colorado where she met and married her first husband Gus Lucas, who now resides in Florida with his wife Mary. After raising her two sons, Kathryn worked in government for many years with Social Security Administration and then for the Railroad Retirement Fund. After her retirement, she and her second husband Bob moved to Livingston Manor. She then enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren, traveling, boating and was a fabulous hostess with a winning personality that was truly enjoyed by her many friends and family.

Katheryn is survived by her husband of 25 years, Robert Willets; her son Mark Lucas and his wife Gloria; stepchildren Ann and Mark Willets; grandchildren Christianne, Jared and Zachary Lucas and Danny, Liam and Elaine Higgins. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Montgomery of Colorado, Edith Endress of Illinois and brothers Joe Henry Hill of Oklahoma and Gomer Hill of Colorado. She is predeceased by her son Christopher Lucas.

Visitation will be held today, Tuesday April 12, 2016 from 2 - 4 & 7 -9 pm at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Homes 29 Pearl Street Livingston Manor, NY 12788. A funeral service will be held this evening, Tuesday April 12, at 8pm Rev. Bridgett LeConey will officiate. Interment will take place on Wednesday April 13, 2016 at Pinelawn Cemetery Farmingdale, NY.
