Our Beloved Latisha Moore of Monticello, New York, 45, passed away on March 21, 2026 at Westchester Medical Center surrounded by her loving family & friends. Latisha was born on February 25, 1981 in Newburgh, New York to the late Larry Moore and Sheila Stackhouse.
Latisha was part of the Arc Greater Hudson Valley, New York family, was an usher at the Pentecostal House of Prayer Church and a member and secretary of the Aktion Club of Sullivan County where she participated in many community service activities. Latisha devoted her life to her church. Latisha loved listening to gospel music, dancing, coloring, cooking, and going on many adventures with her friends and family. And she loved her coffee. She was a very happy person with an uplifting spirit who lit up the room with her smile and warm personality She had a way of making people feel special. She had a lot of fight in her during her recent bouts with cancer.
Latisha leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother Sheila Stackhouse of Newburgh, NY, her brother and sister-in-law William and Bobbi Jo Moore of Monticello, NY, sister Ida Moore(NY, NY), niece Iyana Garcia and nephews Unique Evans and Lawrence Moore, And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was pre-deceased by her father Larry Moore, her grandmother, Clementine Council Stackhouse, grandmother Ridabell Moore, grandfather Daniel Stackhouse, grandfather William Moore Sr.
Visitation will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, March 27th and funeral services will follow at 5:00 PM at the Pentecostal House of Prayer Church at 6 Holmes Street, Monticello, NY. A reception will then be held at Arc Greater Hudson Valley, 203 Cimarron Road, Monticello, NY.
Latisha's family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude and thanks for all the love and care that she received at the Arc Greater Hudson Valley and to the doctors and nurses who treated her at Westchester Medical Center.
