Laura May Dworetsky, 93, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Thursday February 12, 2015 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty, NY. She was the daughter of the late William E. and Myrtle O'Dell Loughrey and was born on March 21, 1921 in Norwich, NY.
Laura was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Liberty and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at Catskill Regional Medical Center.
She leaves behind two sons, Steven Dworetsky of Ferndale and Anthony "Tony" Dworetsky and his wife Gina of St. Louis, MO; her daughter, Sue Mapledoram and her husband Arthur of Ferndale; grandchildren, Kelly Atkins, Terry Atkins, Thad Mapledoram, and Anthony, Andrew, Paul, Peter, Thomas and Laura Dworetsky; 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Tony Dworetsky in December 2000, her son, James Dworetsky, a sister and three brothers.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday February 15 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty. Laura's Funeral Mass will be on Monday, February 16 at 11:45 AM at St. Peter's Church, 264 N. Main St. Liberty. Monsignor Edward Straub will officiate. Burial will follow the mass at St. Peter's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
