Letha M. McCausland, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away on Monday December 1, 2014 at Achieve Rehab & Nursing Facility in Liberty, NY. She was 80 years of age. The daughter of the late Alford and Mary Osterhoudt Decker, she was born on August 15, 1934 in Livingston Manor, NY.
Letha was a retired Post Mistress at Swan Lake Post Office, Swan Lake, NY. She was a member of White Lake Reformed Presbyterian Church and the Swan Lake Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She belonged to the Retired Postmasters Assn. She was also a Sullivan County Office of the Aging RSVP Volunteer. She also was a member of the Bethel Lites and did volunteer work at Achieve Rehab & Nursing Facility.
She leaves behind her son, Thomas McCausland and his wife Barbara of Swan Lake, NY and four grandchildren, Thomas, Glen, Jamie and Krissy McCausland. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas McCausland; her son, Richard McCausland and several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 1 - 3 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 State Rt. 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 3 PM with Rev. David Coon officiating. Burial will follow the services at Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel, NY.
