Linda A. Pond, 65, of Grahamsville, New York, passed away on August 2, 2025, in hospice care in Monsey, New York.
Linda was born on October 31, 1959, in Jamaica, Queens, to Larissa and Joseph H. Pond. She attended Tri-Valley Central School and graduated from St. John’s University in 1982.
She was a highly talented artist and painter, who loved to knit and crochet blankets, sweaters and other garments to share with the members of her family. Linda was a prolific reader of the classics and known for her amazing intellect. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers.
Linda is survived by her father, Joseph; her sister, Jennifer; her brothers, Gregory (Irene), Peter (Brenda) and James (Christine); 12 nieces and nephews, 7 grandnieces and nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Larissa.
A memorial service will be held at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 NY Route 52, Woodbourne, New York, on August 14, 2025, at 11:00AM. Burial/Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to attend and remember Linda’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society in Linda’s memory.
