On Thursday, August 21st, 2025, Lousie M. Seitz of Woodridge, NY passed away peacefully at her home, to be with our Lord and Savior, surrounded by her children. She was 76.
She was the daughter of the late Harold Cross Sr. and Viriginia Dunn.
Louise graduated from Tri–Valley Center School District in 1966. Mom spent her whole life being a caregiver. She had a heart of gold and would give absolutely anything she had to give and go without herself.
She loved to work! Working two to three jobs at a time, from Gager’s, Miss Monticello and Tilly’s Diners, to her true passion, being a private caregiver to so many. She loved attending church on Sundays, and her fellowship and friendship with her church family. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and her most treasured best friend, Lala.
Although we will miss her, she was so selfless and loved her Lord. Her relationship with Him is what got her through anything that came her way, she would say. Now she is with Him where she will be her happiest for eternity.
Lousie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her most prized possession, Lala; three daughters, Denise DeGraw and her husband Teddy (her most precious golden one), Virginia (Jenny) Yager and her husband Tim, Rosie VanEtten and her babies Barkley and Gracie; her loving son, Thomas (Tom) Decker Jr. and his wife Kim; fifteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one brother, Roger Cross; one sister, Donna Lenger and her husband Peter; her significant other, Jeffery (Jeff) Gibson; her very special friend, Natalie; and Lauree and Jodie, who were very dear to her.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Malina-Lynn Decker, and one son, Theodore Decker Sr.; Five sisters; two brothers; and her special dog Buddy.
Visitation will be held at Bethel Bible Ministries, 1972 State Route 17B, Bethel, NY 12720, from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon, with funeral services following. Pastor Paul Minton will be officiating.
