Lucille Comerford, a longtime Smallwood resident, passed away on Sunday October 29, 2017 at the home of her daughter. She was 95. Born in Bronx, NY on July 20, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Agnes Coleman Wigger.
Lucille was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Mongaup Valley, NY and was one of the original members of Smallwood-Mongaup Valley Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Comerford-Shaddock and her husband, Dick of Smallwood, NY, Eileen Muse and husband Andrew of Sebring, FL and Christine Lubniewski and husband, Tony, of Mongaup Valley, NY; grandchildren, Michelle Warner, Eric Lubniewski, Christie Collins and Brent Shaddock and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles A. Comerford in 1996; her brother, Robert Wigger and sisters, Mary Morey and Mickey Wigger.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church, Gale Rd. Mongaup Valley on Saturday November 11, 2017 at 10 AM. Burial of her cremains will immediately follow the mass at Evergreen Cemetery, Bethel, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
Funeral arrangements are by Ramsay's Funeral Homes Inc. Kauneonga Lake, NY.
