Madeleine Pritchard, of White Lake, NY, passed away at her home on Thursday July 10, 2014. She was 94 years of age. Born on March 25, 1920 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of William J. and Elizabeth O'Keefe Mulvey.

Mrs. Pritchard attended St. Peter's School in Monticello, N.Y. and graduated from Monticello High School in 1937. She worked as an operator for New York Telephone Co., was promoted to management in 1938 and transferred to Kingston in 1940 as District Plant Administrative clerk.

She married Dick Pritchard, a supervisor at New York Telephone Co., in 1946. They lived briefly in Monticello; one year in Delmar, NY and 25 years in Manlius, NY where they raised their three children. She was active in the PTA, a leader of both the Cub Scouts and the Blue Birds, a member of the Garden Club, a member of two bridge clubs and a member of the Syracuse Bowling League. In 1969, she returned to work at New York Telephone Company in Syracuse. They moved to White Lake, NY in 1975. She was a member of the Bethel Planning Board for seniors, a member of the Bethel Senior Citizens, a member of AARP and a member of St. Peters parish. She retired from the Engineering Department of New York Telephone Company in Monticello in 1979.

Her husband, Dick Pritchard, died in February, 1993. Later that year, she married Cyril (Dick) Smith of Monticello. They spent their winters in Florida and had many happy years together. He died in December, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her second husband of twenty years, Cyril (Dick) Smith; her first husband of 46 years, Dick Pritchard; her father, William J. Mulvey; her mother, Elizabeth O'Keefe Mulvey; three brothers, John Mulvey, William Mulvey who was killed in World War II, and Joseph Mulvey; and two sisters, Rosemary Metcalf and Mary Crawford.

Surviving are her two daughters, Barbara Harris (Les) and Bernadette Charlton (John); her son, R. John Pritchard; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dolores Stahl.

Calling hours will be held at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 State Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY on Monday, July 14 from 7 to 9 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's RC Church, Gale Rd, Mongaup Valley at 11 am on Tuesday, July 15. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, White Lake, NY.
