She was 93.She was the daughter of the late Joseph Smith and  Hattie Law born on August 11, 1927 in Rock Hill, NY.Margaret was a devoted mother, who made a life caring for her family and ensuring that they always had a hot meal and someone to turn to. She was a social butterfly and a friend to all who knew her.She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children: Fred Kross and his wife Eileen of Georgia, Joseph Kross and his wife Jossie of Arizona, Diana Coney of Monticello, Debra Pless and her husband Robert of Virginia and Randy Kearney of Florida; seventeen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She now meets in Heaven her husband William M. “Bill” Kearney; and siblings Oscar, Rose and Catherine.A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 11am at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Sunset Lake Road, Liberty, NY 12754.
