Marie E. Hallenbeck

Marie Elfriede Sittig Hallenbeck of Woodridge, NY, peacefully passed away on December 31, 2021. She was 94.
She was the daughter of the late Graveur Heinrich Louis Sittig and Hedwig Berta Muller, born on April 9, 1927 in Suhl, Germany.
Marie worked as a saleswoman in a candy store in Germany. On June 25, 1948, at the age of 21, she married William Joseph Hallenbeck, Jr., a Sergeant in the Army of the United States. On July 29, 1948, she entered the United States with Bill via Fort Hamilton in New York. She retired from Channel Master in Ellenville, NY where she was a factory worker.
As per her wishes, there will be no public services. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband, William, at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty, NY.
