Marion Eileen Semonick, of Roscoe, NY, passed away on August 5, 2024. She was 83.
She was born in Beach Lake, Pennsylvania, the middle child of Walter and Helen Woytera, on August 27, 1940.
Marion graduated from Narrowsburg High School and went on to further her education at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. After graduation, she moved to Monticello, NY and worked at the Hamilton Avenue Hospital. Here, her friend set her up on a blind date where she would meet her husband Stephen J. Semonick. After settling and building a home in Grahamsville, NY the two would go on to have a son and Marion became a homemaker. Marion was known for her quick wit, sharp tongue and her ability to say what others would only think. She loved to cook, read, travel, and try to tell her son what to do. Marion had friends from all walks of life and beneath her hard shell, she was a generous person.
She was predeceased by her husband’s untimely death in 1988 and continued on alone at times bringing surprises wherever she went.
Survivors include her son Stephen W. Semonick and his wife Aileen; two special young men Dayton and Colton Greer; grandpaws Sadie and Stanley.
Per Marion’s wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
