Marjorie was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Donald of 63 years. She supported him throughout his Naval career in times of peace as well as war, moving numerous times from coast to coast, including Alaska. She dealt with long separations while he was aboard ship or at distant duty stations with courage and grace, ensuring their children were surrounded with love and stability while keeping their household functioning. During those years she was usually thousands of miles from her parents and extended family. Upon Donald's retirement from the Navy they settled in Pine Bush, New York. Marjorie worked as an accounting clerk for Orange County until her retirement. Marjorie and Donald loved to travel. They made numerous trips across our nation, as well as regionally; sharing their love of exploring our nation's beauty and history. These trips always included visits with family and friends. After Donald's death, Marjorie continued to travel with her children into her 90s. She was an avid reader, enjoyed genealogy, nature, birdwatching, and was a skilled seamstress.

Marjorie had a profound personal relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith was exemplified every day by how she lived her life. Her values and actions were always in unity. Marjorie was a faithful and long-standing member of the Grace Reformed Baptist Church. Her family deeply appreciates her church family's ongoing support and love through her difficult final years.

Marjorie's greatest loves were her family and friends. She supported and encouraged them with wisdom, kindness and acceptance. Marjorie treasured each individual and had a unique, personal relationship with each of her loved ones. Her family hopes those who are able will join us as we honor and remember her life.
