Mark Sowalsky

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mark David Sowalsky, 73, of Monticello, NY, on February 3, 2025. Born in West Hartford, CT, Mark was the son of the late Bernard and Geraldine Sowalsky.

Mark grew up in West Hartford, where he graduated from William H. Hall High School in 1969. Over the years, he lived in various places, including San Diego, CA, Las Vegas, NV, and most recently, Monticello, NY.

A lover of music, Mark had a passion for both playing and sharing music with others. He was the proud owner of a record and music store in New Britain, CT, and spent much of his life as a talented keyboard player, delighting audiences with his performances.

Mark’s voice also graced the airwaves as a radio personality. He worked in broadcasting across many states, with his most recent position at WVOS FM in Monticello, NY. His love for old comedy TV shows and trivia fueled his engaging and entertaining style on the air.

Mark is survived by his sister, nieces, and nephew. His warmth, humor, and talents will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 12th at 11:00 AM at Woodbourne Cemetery, Parsonage Road, Woodbourne, NY.
