Marlene A. Judson, of Woodbourne, NY, passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on October 27, 1946, in New Jersey, the daughter of the late John Rypkama and Molly.
Marlene was a woman who cherished nature and found joy in the simple things. She loved gardening—she especially liked sunflowers—and took great pleasure in feeding the wild animals around her home. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with her family, and always had a good sense of humor. Marlene was known for her honesty and for telling it like it is, all while keeping a lighthearted and playful spirit.
She is survived by her son, Mark Elliott; her grandchildren, Nichole Miller, Jessica Miller, and Destiny Taggart; her great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Smith and Tyler Smith; and her beloved canine companion, Dixie. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kris Miller.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY. A funeral service, officiated by Sharon Branning, will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
